Love Child - Multimedia

I tested my skills and completed a tutorial on Photoshop. The results were even wilder than I could of expected Lol Funny Times!

I'm sure you'll agree multimedia

I really like all of these images.
The cigarette is very effective and looks really professional.
I think the masking tool has been used to position the people on the ash, then simply some cloning and healing to give the people the ash effect all over.
I love the way they are standing there, as if their a crew and waiting for something. Typical.

The hand with the lightning bolt and people on it is also a favorite of mine.
I would say many effects have been used here, to get the surrounding images there such as the cars and floor.
The hand, people on the hand, sky and shooting stars have been masked in to look like a sort of modern day battle field or a level from a game.

The top image of the woman sitting on the ground i absolutely love. The use of bright colors and tones really pulls you in, it almost looks as though its supposed to look fake, but very effective while doing so.
I think her clothes have been modified to look really bright and flowing, there's also some fade on her dress which indicates some contrast, opacity or composition changes.
The tones on her skin have been modified as well, they look more smoother and clear. The healing tool would have been used to do this, like they use in famous magazines and photo shoots.

A great range of effects and methods have been used in all these images, and now they look like real art work and professional pieces.
Very Cool.

Many tools could have been here. It does look quite cool and an effective way of using typography on the right subjects.
This could have been done but cutting and pasting, by using the masking effect or even using the text in Photoshop and making additional changes.

The way the text has been done refers to the type of event its promoting, this will catch peoples attention, and also artists and performers attention.

This image is very well done and looks as though it could be a CD cover etc.
There has been some masking done in this image and maybe some cloning.

The big purple flash has been made to look as though it goes round the man, and some brighter areas have been modified to glow.
You could also use other tools such as the paint tool or the healing tool.

I also like this image a lot. The typography is very cool and the way its all been put together looks really effective.
There may have been some cloning involved, getting different images and words to appear again in different places.
Again a mask could have been used to project the big title text over the top of the bottom images.

While researching I found some really good and effective digital art.
I wanted to look at how the images have been constructed and what methods have been used to do this.

In this piece effects such as the 'Healing Brush' and 'Masking' have been used.
you can see if you look that it was possibly once two separate images but they have been merged together using Photoshop.

I really like this image as there are two really bright colors that attract you straight away, and they work off each other really well.
You can also adjust the composition and contrast to get the darker areas around the edge of the centre images.

I have looked on the internet at different artists and I have found one that I really like and want to refer my work to, his name is Antony Micallef.
As soon as I saw his work I knew I'd like it. He uses dark images and objects and adds black tones and shades.

His images are usually heads, he then adds textures and effects to make them look distorted and broken.
For my final outcome that has to be produced in Photoshop, I will use similar effects. I want my eyes to be the only visible part of my body in the image, then I will add tones, textures and layers to make the image look dark, distorted and frozen.

My animal is a Hawk/Eagle so I will be using feathers, rough textures, light textures and scans of sketches to add to the image and play around with.

Here you can see some of Antony Micallef''s work.

I found some methods on mask making.
I haven't fully decided on how i'll make my mask or what will go where, if you are a little stuck here are some ways to create your mask.

I also got some textures of birds, and their feathers.
I wanted to collect the feathers so I could use the diferent textures and colors on my Final Photoshop piece.
I want to incorporate the different feathers around the image of me in my mask, to give it more of an animal feeling.

We went on our trip to Nottingham, to Woolotan Hall and Lakeside.
I took lots of photo's and got some really good images for my projects. Some of the images I got will work well with my Identity project, but most for my Power Animal project.
One of the identities I am doing is a tramp so the images I got should help me a lot.

EL Mundo ...

I have taken lots of photographs of textures and images I may need and want to use in my photoshop final outcome & also mark making skills etc for my mask.

I found images that refer to a tramp for my identity project and some cool textures I can scan in and use for photoshop.

I took the pictures in and around college, and also in the town of Mansfield.
I took some pictures of rough textures so I can really work with them and see how I can make them work with other more smoother and vibrant textures, with color.

As my power animal is an Eagle I wanted some tree images and textures so that it would refer a little more to a bird, but I also got different images so I can work with them and see how I can blend them all together.

Check them out . . . . .
